ARES DISTRICT 3 BULLETIN NR 07.07 DATE:
February 18, 2007
SUBJECT: TRY MORE THAN ONCE
How many times do you try to call someone on the telephone
and either get a "BUSY" or a "RING NO ANSWER"? How about calling
someone's pager and they don't call you back. Do you just try one
time and then wait for awhile before trying again. Did you ever
happen to think that maybe, just maybe, you may have "FATFINGERED" the
telephone dial and called a wrong number. If this has happened to
you, it's not going to hurt anything to just dial the number again.
You might be surprised to find out you may have just dialed the wrong
number. By the way, on the second and third attempts to call the
number, DON'T USE THE REDIAL button. If you dialed the wrong
number the first time, using redial will only dial the same wrong number
again. (Reprinted, with modifications of ARES Zone 3 Bulletin NR 02.07)
